California State Collaborative Project

An assigned group consisting of 3 students will produce a wall on www.padlet.com with accurate and factual information about the state of California. Each group member will be responsible for creating 5 posts on the wall. Each post must contain a typed description and an image. The 15 posts will include the following information in any order: 1. state map image What number state is it in the United States? When did the state enter statehood? What states, countries, or bodies of water border the state? What is the states rank in area? 2. state capitol image Where is the state capitol located? 3. image related to the state motto What does the state motto signify? 4. state seal image Describe the state seal and its significance. 5. state flag image Describe the state flag and its significance. 6. state bird image Note the state bird. 7. state flower image Note the state flower. 8. state animal image Note the state animal. 9. image related to population State the recent census on the states population. What is the states rank in population? 10. image related to history (3-5 sentences) Who discovered the region? How did United States acquire the territory? 11. image related to the major industries

Note at least 3 major industries in the state. 12. major rivers and lakes image Note the major rivers and lakes of the state. Each group member is responsible to add 1 interesting fact about the state. The post must include a typed description and an image.
