Archbishop Adventure Project

Once a week on period 6, Grades 1,2 and 3 classes meet. (make Flexible groups with students from each grade) Week 1: Group Bonding Activity Vertical Pictionary April 4th Week 2: April 11th Group Brainstorming: What can we do to showcase our faith to the Archbishop on May 9th? Specific Jobs assigned/chosen by each group member to ensure active participation by all, (Recorder, etc.) Week 3: April 17th Practice: Groups will develop questions and start practicing showcase of faith. Week 4: May 2nd Practice Groups will finish developing questions and be ready to present showcase of faith to Archbishop. Archbishop visit Assembly May 9th Videotaped Week 6: May 15th Meet to Debrief visit, view video. Assign project for groups. Choose a way to demonstrate the Role of the Archbishop and his message on May 9th. Could include Journal, Show Me App. Must answer questions generated. Week 7: May 22nd Groups work a project to demonstrate learning. Week 8: May 30 Groups work on project and have ready for presentation.
