We use our respiratory system to breathe in air. Our body needs oxygen from the air in orden to survive.

When we breathe in, air enters our body through our nose and mouth.

Its easy to feel our lungs working. Put your hands on either side of your ribs,andbreathe in. Now breathe out slowly.

Arteries carry blood away from the heart to the rest of the body. Veins carry blood back to the heart from the rest of the body. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels which connect arteries and veins.

The excretory system.


The kidneys filter the blood and reabsorb useful nutrients. In the kidneys,waste substances and water form urine. The urine goes down tubes called ureters and collects in the bladder. The urine is stored in the bladder.When we go to the toilet,it leaves our bodi through a tube called the urethra.

Our body also eliminates waste through our skin.Sweat is a liquid which contains water,salat and other waste products.
