    are the f ollowing steps: 1. Before doing anything MAKE A COPY OF THE PST FOR SAFE-KEEPING 2. Open the PST in the Hex editor. 3. Replace positions 0x07 through 0x13 with a space (0x20) 4. Save the PST (it is now corrupted). 5. Run the Inbox Repair Tool (SCANPST.exe Microsoft KB article 287497) to recov er the file. 6. Open the new PST in Outlook Any recoverable items will be restored. 7. Look at the SCANPST log to find recovered messages.
