Dear Educational Human Resources Manager, It is my pleasure to write a letter of support regarding Marnie Greene as she applies for employment with your school district. I have had the opportunity to interact with Marnie through several avenues at Central Michigan University and within the Mt. Pleasant community. I feel she is a strong candidate for your position. A review of Marnies resume and transcript displays not only her excellent academic record, but her commitment and contributions through volunteer experiences within the community as well as the field of education. Specifically, I was able to work with Marnie closely on a community awareness event last year. Through this event, Marnie helped to raise awareness about Peer to Peer programs that center on connecting students with disabilities and their typical peers to increase skills in the area of independence and social development. Marnie fulfilled a major leadership role in this event and it was a success due to her determination and dedication. In addition, Marnie balances the responsibilities of a full time college student, as well as a busy employment and volunteer agenda. These volunteer activities include Special Olympics, Son Rise, the Fowler Center, and many other opportunities. In the college classroom, I have found Marnie to be incredibly dedicated to learning. Not only does she work well independently, but with a team on activities and group projects. Marnies positive attitude is a wonderful trait, and it is contagious! I wholeheartedly support Marnie as she pursues this opportunity with your school district. If you would like to further discuss the difference Marnie makes in the lives of others, please contact me at (989) 774-1498 at work, (989) 772-2242 at home, or through email at gerki1hh@cmich.edu at your convenience. Sincerely,

Holly Hoffman, Ph.D. Chairperson Counseling and Special Education Central Michigan University
