Tectonic Control Revealed!

As of April 9th, the United States Council of Advanced Research and Technology (CART) has developed the ability to control and manipulate the Earths tectonic plates. This means that with the power of the new Tectonic Plate Shifter (TPS), the United States has the ability to move land masses closer or further apart from each other. TPS utilizes the methods of advanced magnetism as well as extensive drilling to achieve its purpose. This advanced form of technology is scheduled to be made effective by late October. United States president, Jonny Eutax, has assured the members of NATO that this new technology will not be used for hostile or imperialist purposes. In his address to the nation, Eutax reported, The TPS allows us to have better control over our environment which has become very susceptible and common to earthquakes over recent years, specifically and most detrimentally in the state of California. Just in the past 2 years, the United States has experienced a rapid increase and vulnerability to earthquakes. A total of 33 earthquakes have been recorded since August 23rd, 2075, with a grand total of 28 occurring in California. CART had already been in the process of developing TPS before the large outbreaks of quakes but expedited its research shortly after. The earthquakes imposed a great deal of physical and financial damage on the United States. In fact many highways and buildings have been fractured or rendered completely useless due to not only the amount but also the great size of the seismic activity. The United States reported that it has had to pay more than fifty million dollars to repair and maintain what is turning into a large pile of rubble. However with the forming of TPS, the United States has resurged its optimism for getting back on track for dealing with more vital issues.

The way the TPS works is rather fascinating. There are a total of 38 recorded minor mass tectonic plates that embody the earth. The method of using the TPS is simple. Obviously these minor plates are still quite large as they surround the entire globe. TPS first drills through these plates making them weaker and smaller. Then a large radioactive iron plated rod is injected deep into the plates surface. This allows to plate to become extremely magnetized. The final step utilizes the worlds most advanced and largest magnets. These magnets strength can easily be manipulated with a control dial. This allows the TPS to move the plate to a new designated location. The United States has already begun work in the most active areas of its borders to implement and use TPS. The small reports that have returned show great success and even greater potential. The TPS unsurprisingly has provoked a great deal of anxiety for other nations. Many foreign nations are either curious or worried about this new technology and the consequences it may have. The White House reported yesterday that the leaders of the four leading superpower nations including the United States, Russia, China, and Great Britain have agreed to meet and confer about the new technological discovery on the 31st of July. The main points of this conference are unclear and mostly speculation. However a number of theories have risen as to what the discovery of TPS holds for the future of the global community. One of the largest of the many theories that have come up is the reformation of a supercontinent. American as well as European citizens argue it would have many potential benefits. It would allow for less national expense of lengthy air travel as well as water transportation. It would allow for more humanitarian efforts to be universally spread and equally distributed to the nations in most need. While of course this theory is more than unlikely, the fact that the technology to make it possible now exists makes it a daunting point to keep in the back of the head.

White House Chief of Staff, Ronald Truman stated, We are proud of and are very excited about this new technology. We only hold the best of intentions to everyone around the world, and have no meanings to use this power for anything other than United States security. When asked if the United States would be open to share this technology with the other nations, Truman opted not to answer. While this may not necessarily qualify as secrecy, it has left many citizens and foreigners eager for updates.
