Who thought the earth was Flat?

The first people who thought the earth was flat were the first humans and certain greeks. who lived about twenty-five hundred years ago. One of them was a philosopher named na!imander. "e couldn#t believe the ancient gods theories that the earth was flat so he decided to observe it himself. "e started observing the stars and the sky and wondered why all stars would move e!cept the north star. "e determined that the sky was a hollow sphere but that data wasn#t enough because it was still possible that the earth is flat. "e then observed the sun and noticed that the sun didn#t get destroyed at night but simply the earth orbited the sun. $till na!imander wasn#t satisfied and continued to study this topic.

Why is the earth round?

4any people have said that the earth is round due to gravity. $ince the earth is so big and carys trillions of mass weight so much gravity is involved it formed the earth to be round. lso 5ravity pulls with e+ual strength in all directions6 which means any variations from a spherical shape will lead to gravitational forces that bring the shape back into that of a sphere.
