Goals

1. Achievement a. Increase the graduation rate for all students from 60.9% to 70.9% in 5 years. b. Increase the number of students taking the SAT from 25% to 32% in 5 years. 2. Student Choice a. Increase the number of students taking AP exams from 12.5% to 19.5% in 5 years. b. Increase the number of students passing AP exams from 3.4% to 8.4% in 5 years. 3. Guidance a. Increase the number of students creating and completing 4-year plans from 0% to 50% in 5 years. b. Increase the amount of times school counselors meet with junior and senior students from sporadically to once in the fall and once in the spring to discuss postsecondary options, graduation route, etc. in 2 years. 4. Counseling a. Implement at least two group guidance lessons a semester on study skills, time management, and anger management for the next 2 years. b. Pilot an after school group targeting at risk students that meets two times a week for the next 2 years. Lessons will be on anger management, self-esteem, tutoring, and mentoring.
