Comparing and contrasting World Religions

This week in my social studies class I have been learning about world religions. Even thought I may not follow these religions, learning new facts about them is important because many people follow them. I have learned many similarities and differences between these two specific religions Christianity and Islam. By reading and learning new facts about them. I now know that they are similar in many ways. First they both are very popular religions. They are also similar, through a lot more ways. They are both monotheistic. This is interesting because, I know that they are not completely different and that they can connect on some things. They might have many things in common, but there are a lot of differences between them. For example the people who believe in Christianity are called Christians. The people who believe in Islam are called Molms. They also are different by they follow different books. The Christians follow the Bible. The Molms follow the Qurian. Last difference is that the leader for the religions is different. The Christians leaders are called the Pastor or Prests. Then the Molms leaders are called Imams. Though these religions are different and alike in many ways, its important to respect their differences. In conclusion, learning more things about these religions made me realize how different and alike Christians and Molms are. Even though I do not follow all of these religions, I know that learning them better than just their names. Now I think my knowledge of the similarities and differences between world religions will help me in the future. When I talk to someone who believes in them I can understand their religion better and if I get asked a question about these religions I could probably answer it.
