I have chosen to do my research paper on the economics of baseball. I have an extended knowledge on baseball economics and will be able to associate saber metrics (or the use of statistics in different mathematical formulas) into this assignment. I also have an understanding of the development of saber metrics, player salaries, and other required information, such as free agency, from different eras of baseball (from the Golden Years to The Modern Years). I plan to show the influences of saber metrics on baseball and the advancement of baseball economics, as well as the relationship between saber metrics and spending. Potential main points can include the use of saber metrics to determine salaries, excessive spending and lack of wins, and the effect of free agency on the owners, teams, and players themselves. My understanding of plagiarism and/or misrepresentation is to write down somebody elses ideas or findings and not to give them proper credit.
