Compressor Relay Thermostat

MODE OF OPERATION

DELAY ON BREAK - ANTI-SHORT CYCLE Power is applied when the thermostat closes and the compressor immediately energizes. When the thermostat opens, at the end of each cycle, a lockout delay begins which prevents the compressor relay from re-energizing. If the thermostat is closed, after the time delay is completed, the compressor relay will energize. In case of a momentary loss of power, the lockout will begin, preventing the compressor relay from closing for the duration of the delay. -Prevents rapid cycling or chatter of compressor contactors in cooling, heat pump, and refrigeration systems. -Allows head pressure to equalize before a start
