LabVIEW Basics II is now LabVIEW Core 2 Split the course manual into a concepts manual and an exercise manual Removed content on Variables, Functional Global Variables, and Race Conditions o Content now covered as part of LabVIEW Core 1 Added discussion slides after each exercise slide Added lesson on Error Handling with one exercise Added a producer/consumer development exercise o Student builds an application starting from the Producer/Consumer (Events) template o To reinforce knowledge, this exercise has fewer instructions than other exercises Added content on caveats and recommendations for events Added content on the Class Browser Removed content on Revision History and VI Hierarchy Moved Compare VIs to lesson on Improving and Existing VI Reorganized the VI Server lesson. Lesson now starts with properties and methods, and then covers VI Server architecture and control references. o This way students do not start lesson overwhelmed with VI Server hierarchy details. Reorganized the Creating and Distribution Applications lesson Converted exercise on Event-Based Design Patterns to a demonstration Included the TDM Excel Add-in Tool in the Read TDMS Files exercise
