Dear Editor, I am a visitor in Kuala Lumpur. I would like to share with you about an incident that happened to me last week. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the good Samaritan who helped me retrieve my belongings. It happened on an evening at the hotel when I was getting ready to leave the city to go to my next destination. I was waiting for my transport to arrive. I walked over to the reception to enquire about my transport and as I turned around, I saw someone taking my hand carry bag. I shouted at the thief and gave chase but the thief was too fast. I could not keep up and soon lost track of him. I went back to the hotel devastated. I wanted to lodge a police report. However, about a few minutes later, I received a call from the police station. I was asked to identify a bag. I went to the police station. The police were very helpful and kind. According to the police, someone had called them about a theft in the area. The police responded to the call and caught the thief. They found my contact information and called the hotel. I do not know who called the police but whoever he was, I would like to thank him from the bottom of my heart. Thankful visitor
