Title: The Effect of pH affect Enzyme Controlled Reaction Purpose/Problem: Adjust the pH levels or the amount of substrate added to collect necessary data. Hypothesis: If pH effect increases enzyme reaction decreases. Materials: Chromebook , Internet.

Procedures: 1.pH leveln is adjusted by clicking the up or the down arrows below the corresponding test rube. 2. To add substrate, click and drag the weighing paper to the appropriate test tube. 3. For all trials, assume the enzyme concentration in each test tube is constant.

Observation/Data: Test Tube #: Test Tube 1 Test Tube 2 Test Tube 3 Test Tube 4 Test Tube 5 Amount Of Substrate (g) 3 5 7 9 11 0.5 g 19 39 72 45 24 2.0 g 82 168 300 189 103 8.0 g 96 198 350 223 121

The Maximum initial reaction vote for this enzyme is 350. The lowest is 100. Middle enzyme is around the number 300. Using number starting at 19 the test tubes stay the same.

Conclusion: The Higher the pH the higher the less steeper the linear line goes up. Rejected because the pit went up to 350, the rest stayed the same. Most increases, but the rest stayed the same. Without Enzymes to speed up these reactions, energy would not be released fast enough to support all but the smallest organisms. Enzymes are the biological molecules proteins that act as catalysts in a living organism. When the enzyme lets go, it returns to normal, ready to do another reaction. The substrate is no longer the same. The substrate is now called the product.
