This is an objective source that contains no bias, with the goal of the source being to teach about different aspects of writing in short stories and poetry. The author talks about the importance of the mark and the specific significance of the shape of the mark. Other topics covered are also love and dreams. This source is a lot shorter then most of my other source but gives good information in its text. This source is credible because I got it off of a Literary Reference Center database referred to me by my teacher. This is a bias source because it is a literary critique. The goal of the source is to give a review of the short story The Birth-Mark. This source isnt going to be used as often in my essay as the story itself, but it is still a good source to support the use of symbolism and theme.

Rosenburg, Liz. The Best That Earth Could Offer: The Birth-Mark, A Newlyweds Story. EBSCO Host. Ebsco Publishing, 1993. Web. 7 April 2014. This source is an essay about human nature and love. This source compares to my other sources in how it might not be as helpful as some of the others. It is a credible source because I found it on Literature Resources from Gale Database. This essay can be both objective and bias. In my opinion when writing a criticism it is going to have a lot of the authors opinion. But this essay supports the opinion by using other stories to compare it too and referring back to the text its self. The goal of this source is to inform readers about Nathaniel Hawthornes The Birth-Mark. This could possibly be one of those sources I dont use in my paper, its good but I dont think the information in it will support my proposal as much as some of the others.
