April 16, 2014 As a Dietetics Major with equal interest in Public Health, I am looking forward to the opportunity to continue my education and broaden my experience. As a nutrition and health enthusiast, I have loved every experience I have had that has prepared me for the career I wish to pursue involving these passions. As a student in the NDFS 191: Careers in Food Science lecture series, I learned about and gained appreciation for the many employment possibilities enjoyed by food scientists. I put together research and analysis projects regarding nutrition and its applications as a student in NDFS 100: Introduction to Human Nutrition. Furthermore, as a cafeteria worker at the Missionary Training Center, I developed the efficiency and detail-oriented mindset that is required for working cohesively with others as a team. Finally, as a former piano teach, I had the opportunity to work with a variety of people and expand my interpersonal and organizational skills.
