Biochemical and physiological response to threat Impact when ones ability to cope is overwhelmed (Freeze), Fight or Flight Response Cognitive, emotional, social, physical, behavioral and spiritual reactions Outcomes of untreated trauma and interventions to decrease symptoms

T rauma T raining Day 2:


Intervention strategies for schools and community responses Not designed for people in uniform (this is not CISD) Will include special focus on working with youth, in schools, in communities Appropriate for the aftermath of catastrophic events (suicide, shootings, more)

school shootings at Thurston, Columbine, Nickel Mines (Amish) and 2 years in New York following 9/11.
