USEFUL DEFINITIONS

4.1 Manufacturing organisation Welding workshops or sites under the same technical and quality management. These include fabrication, construction, maintenance, service workshops or sites. 4.2 Welding coordination personnel Personnel who have responsibilities in the manufacturing operation for welding and weldingrelated activities and whose competence and knowledge has been demonstrated by training, education and/or relevant manufacturing experience. 4.3 Welding Coordinator A welding coordinator is a person carrying out one or more coordination tasks. 4.4 Authorised Welding Coordinator Notionally, the person authorised to sign for all welding matters on behalf of the organisation. 4.5 Welding Inspection Examining, testing and measuring of welding-related matters. 4.6 Contract Agreed requirements for constructions ordered by a customer; Manufacturer's basic specification for constructions manufactured in series for several customers, unknown to the manufacturer at the time of design and production. 4.7 Special process Process, the result of which cannot be fully verified by subsequent inspection and testing of the product and where, for example, processing deficiencies may become apparent only after the product is in use. Accordingly, continuous monitoring and/or compliance with documented procedures are required to ensure that the specified requirements are met. 4.8 Qualified person Person whose competence and knowledge has been obtained by education, training and/or relevant practical experience. 4.9 Construction Product, structure or any other welding items.
