    Statement by Governor Jim Folsom, Jr. Governor, 1993-1995 Lt.

    Governor 1987-1993, 2007-2011 Marsha and I were saddened to hear of the passing of our friend McDowell Lee. Mac was an institution in the Alabama Senate who was a great friend and mentor to me and all Lt. Governors over the last 50 years. The parliamentary rules of the Senate and the body itself were sacred to Mac and the State of Alabama is a far better place today because of his many years of service. Our prayers are with his family and we trust they will be comforted by the rich personal and professional legacy of this wonderful man. Contact: Chip Hill 334.332.8225
