NATURE OF LAW

INTRODUCTION Law is a system of rules, binding customs or practices which regulate the actions of a country or community. Laws are not new to us. Since the very advent of human civilization, there have been a set of parameters to govern the society and protect it. As the civilization progressed; so did the law. Law as a subject is related to various aspects of life, be it historical, philosophical, economic or sociological. It cannot be studied independently. Hence to know the nature of law, it becomes mandatory to understand what is law. Different schools have provided different answers to this question, namely natural law, legal positivism, interpretivism and legal realism. During the scope of this project we will study all these dimensions of law and on its basis we will try to establish the Nature of Law. CHAPTERS 1. Introduction 2. What is Law? 3. Nature of Law 4.
