1010-055 Informative Presentation with PowerPoint March 27, 2013 Part A Goal: My audience will learn the different ways of serving a volleyball. Pattern of Organization: Ive chosen the spatial pattern of organization because there are a few categories and steps that are used to serve a volleyball. Audience Analysis: I will present my topic with a PowerPoint. I will give my classmates a broader knowledge of understanding the correct way to serve, using the correct technique, and body movements to execute the serve. Occasion Analysis: My speech will be given at the Culinary Arts building of the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus. My topic is appropriate for this circumstance because it will teach my peers how to properly serve a volleyball, and inform those who have been doing it wrong on how to do it correctly. Part B Speech Title: You Just Got Served! I chose this topic because I played volleyball in high school and I have fond memories of it. During a tournament in my junior year in high school, I served about 12 points straight. A few serves before I lost it, I served the ball into an opposing players face. Of course, I apologized after the game. Upon this story, I would like to teach you all about serving in volleyball. Transition: Like all athletes, you need to start at the beginning.
