Look at the picture of the formal table setting, and lets talk about the following questions together. 1. Where is the dessert spoon? 2. Where is the wineglass for red wine? 3. Where is the salad plate? 4. Where is the bread knife? 5. Where is the napkin? 6. Where is the dinner fork? 7. Where is the soup spoon? B. The words we used to describe where the objects in the formal table setting are at are called ___prepositions___. 1. What are prepositions? i. A preposition shows the __relationship__ to another word in the sentence. ii. We will study __placement__ prepositions. Examples of placement prepositions: Above, across, behind, below, beneath, beside, between, by, near, opposite, under, underneath, inside, next to, in front of, on top of, to the left of, to the right of (*In order to describe these prepositions, I will show the students a visual representation of these prepositions on the screen*) C.
