Reconciliation Procedure is fixed The technical issue causing numerous bounced checks occurring this past week has been fixed! I would like to thank the tellers once again for catching this problem and bringing it to my attention. Originally the new system had a glitch during the 2 p.m. reconciliation time. The prompt to consolidate/ merge was not appearing on the screen and in the few cases that it was it was very easy to miss. This then caused the procedure to occur in the wrong order. Now that the system has been fixed, the correct prompt will appear on your screen. Following the register step, your screen will now prompt you to consolidate/ merge before posting. This icon has also been enlarged and placed in a more prominent area on the screen so it will be easier to see. Following the register step, your screen will now prompt you to consolidate/ merge before posting so the steps will be completed in the following order: 1. Close 2. Register 3. Consolidate/Merge 4. Post. I apologize that the system has not represented its major benefits as expected, but I am confident in its abilities to reduce the amount of extra work and time needed to complete the reconciliation process. Thank you so much for your patience and your cooperation with implementing the new system. As always, be sure to notify the IT team or me if any other problems arise and they will be fixed immediately.
