By: Kyra

Who is Involved
An airliner that was carrying 12 Malaysian crew members and 227 passengers from 14 nations. An Air Accidents Investigations Branch from Britain is helping to look for the aircraft.

The Day it Started

On March 8th, 2014 Flight 370 departed from Kuala Lumpur at 12:21am. It lost contact with air traffic control at approximately 1:20am, 2:40am Plane 1:20 am Last known which was shows up on the position military radar signal less than 12:40am Flight takes off from Kuala Lumpar an hour after takeoff.

What is Happening
The Search for the missing airliner began in the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea. Within a few days, the search was extended to the Strait of Malacca and the Andaman Sea. On March 15th, military radar data and radio "pings" between the aircraft and a satellite had investigators determining that the aircraft had headed west across the Peninsula, then either north or south for approximately seven hours. The search in the South China Sea was then abandoned. Three days later, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority began searching the southern part of the Indian Ocean. And that is where they are still looking.

Why is this Happening

Nobody knows why the airliner disappeared but a lot of nations are searching for the aircraft and the passengers; to get some answers for who either hijacked the plane and as to why it went off radar.

My Option
I think that the Malaysia Airliner is at the bottom of the Indian Ocean since all the facts known so far have lead to here. I chose this article because it is something that has been on the news everyday and is still in the papers. Many nations are looking for this airliner but there are still no traces of debris or proof of where the plane may be.
