TIARA FULTON
..
My only problem is that critics equate rappers to thugs and as a threat to society.
Its interesting because it rose during a time of violence and gang life in communities.
We are great, nice of you to join us. We were just discussing I was telling Idris that hip hop rose from street hip hop music
Because hip-hop has roots in street gangs. Gangs That cool mr. turtle. How tagged their territory and did graffiti and gangs even their rivals to provoke come into play during the them. Those who were not rise of hip hop culture? in gangs expressed their art on the citys train system.
I think graffiti was a way of expression and an outlet for the youth. Critics tend to think that rappers speak entirely autobiographically.
I agree Tricia. What they talk about doesnt mean theyve lived the events or acted the actions out. Crtitics try to falsely link their lyrics to violence that is occurring.
Thats right tiara. I believe Hip hip is a revolution that succeeded. It altered the way we dress, the way we think, and the way we speak.
I think so to, Idris. Nobody thought that it would be what it is today. It has evolved into so much more than a group of guys on a street corner rapping and break dancing.
It was nice talking I must fly away now. See you next spring!
