Tests/Quizzes: After a lesson over the Parthenon, students will be asked to take a TRUE/FALSE quiz about the Parthenon. Students will complete a 3 Greek Column match up quiz, where they will be asked to match the picture of the column to the column name. Each week, students will be given a multiple choice quiz over the key terms that have been discussed in the lessons. The teacher will be giving a unit test on the 3rd week. Work Samples: During the unit, students will be asked to take notes on democracy, direct and representative democracy and also the Olympics. Ancient Greece Recall Activity: students will be given a sheet called Ancient Greece Recall, the page has 6 boxes on it. One is labeled Ancient Greek Olympics and the other boxes are labeled Day 1-5. The students will have to draw a picture to show what happened each day of the Olympic Games in ancient Greece. Students will complete word searches that will include words from the Olympics (past and present), democracy and the 3 columns. Prompts: Explain the ancient Athenians idea that a community should choose its own leaders. Describe the 3 types of Greek columns. Observations:
