The ground breaking for Three Oaks was held on December 12, 2003 Three Oaks Elementary first opened in the fall of 2005 It is one of 56 elementary schools in the Virginia Beach City Public School district. It is built for over 1000 students but currently only has 830 students enrolled Lisa Hannah was the first principal and is still the current principal at Three Oaks Elementary School.
