24084 Dear Administrator, It is my pleasure to recommend Andrea Sullivan Wright for a teaching position. I can attest to her ability, effort, and preparedness. Andrea student taught in my first grade class during the Spring 2014 semester. Her lesson plans were well thought out and she followed the Pulaski County Schools Pacing Guide. She always did what was asked of her and volunteered helpful suggestions worth consideration. She was so involved that she often knew what was needed to be done before I asked for the assistance. She has a strong knowledge of technology. She can use the Smart Board and Elmo with ease. She can search education related sites to assist her in planning developmentally appropriate activities for her students. While using recommended educational sites, she found more sites that were of benefit to her planning process. She was excited to discover the wealth of information available. I am impressed with Andreas record of volunteerism. She has been active with many causes and has been diligent in putting forth a strong effort to work often and work hard. Shes volunteered for many years. She continued that dedication in her student teaching as she continued to do school work at home and volunteered during the school festival on a Saturday morning. She always understood the flexibility it takes to work in a school and the amount of work educators do beyond the school day. During her student teaching experience, Andrea became familiar with the first grade students and their interests. She provided clear expectations of and set high standards for students. She held students accountable at all times while upholding fair and equitable standards that encouraged responsibility, respect, and safety. Andrea organized and managed classroom space very well. Her organizational skills are impressive. Andrea was very punctual and reliable. She never missed a day during her entire student teaching experience.
