CUBA

My wife and I visited Cuba in April 2014 on a US People to People Cultural Exchange Program. In addition to roaming the streets of Havana on my own, we visited an elementary school, a ballet studio, a boxing arena for youth, a food market, several churches and museums. We also were able to visit several homes in Havana to get a real sense of how Cubans live. Without a doubt, Cubans are one of the warmest, most outgoing people of any country weve visited. Unfortunately their living conditions are deplorable and its sad to see the once magnificent architecture of Havana crumbling from neglect since the revolution in 1959.
