V No Child Left Behind Act

Lesson Objective: The object of the lesson is for the students to understand the reasoning behind the no child left behind act. The expectations of this lesson are for the class to see the pros and cons about the no child left behind act. The students will learn then be asked questions to stretch their understanding and hopefully achieve higher order thinking. Anticipatory set: The hook in this lesson is two worksheets that we give half of the class one and we give half of the class the other. To demonstrate what the No Child Left behind Act is to accomplish. Teaching/Instructional Process: We will input our information into the classroom by the Prezi that we will show to the classroom. We will model how the no child left behind act accomplishes its goal by using our hook which is the worksheets which shows differentiated learning. At the end of the presentation we will ask questions about the content we have gone over. Guided Practice and Monitoring: The videos we have will show and bring more information to the students and the questions at the end will help tell if we have will tell if the students have learned the information. Sampling the questions from the class to ask if the students have at least grasped the concept and main content of our lesson is another way we will monitor the acceptance of the knowledge given. And know that the core objectives have been met and our lesson learned or at least taken into consideration. Independent Practice: Our independent practice is we plan to have the students talk and discuss the questions with the people next to them and talk about the facts, pros, and cons of everything we have taught, and how these things are implemented into the real world. Closure: Freedom writers video, A Toast To Change to wrap everything up.
