We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid. -Benjamin Franklin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts on the date of January 17th 1906. From a young age Franklin was very wise. He had 14 other sibling and his father was a candlestick make and a skilled mechanic. Franklin received his schooling at Boston Latin School, but was taken out of school due to poor economic conditions. Franklin certainly enjoyed reading which furthered his education. At the age of fifteen, he went to apprentice under his brother who owned a printing press. Later on in life, as a scientist and inventor, Franklin received kinds of different recognition. Franklin invented many different items from the lightening rod to the Franklin stove, but he is most famous for inventing Franklin bifocals. Franklin was the first person to discover the conservation of charge. Franklin also was an avid supporter of the wave theory of light. Franklin conducted experiments of the no conduction of ice. Although, Franklin is known as one of Americas founding fathers he went through many life struggle during his childhood and adulthood. His family was in a very poor economic condition. It was so bad that he had to be taken out of school and work with his family. He didnt have any certified teacher, so his family continued his education. As a young adult, Franklin, had an illegitimate son which slowly caused a rift between him and his family. Franklin died at the age of 84 with his daughter Sarah at his side. He died peacefully in his sleep.
