Plant/Animal Adaptations Project

(AN AT HOME PROJECT)
Adaptations are something about a plant or animal that helps it to survive in its environment. Over the next few weeks we will be learning about the most common adaptations for plants and animals in several different environments. Your challenge in this project is to research an animal or plant that has some cool, yet gross adaptations. You will prepare a poster with pictures and information for your chosen plant or animal. You will be responsible for presenting your poster to the class. You will be provided with paper for your poster. Below is the grading rubric:

Adaptations Information The animal/plant adaptations are thoroughly explained for their environment/lifestyle. The explanations are in the students own words. Pictures There should be at least 5-8 pictures to enhance your poster and visually show their adaptations. Quality The poster is neatly done. Words can be typed but must be in the students own words. There shouldnt be a lot of empty space on the poster and it should not be written in pencil. EXCELING MEETING NOT YET

Volume The student can be heard clearly during their presentation. Knowledgeable Student is familiar enough with their topic that they are able to talk to the audience instead of just reading from their poster. (This may take practice!)
