of Technology on April 25, 2014. Enclosed in this Advanced Preparation Package is the information: Program Schedule There are 20 high school teams competing in Trading Day, and each team will be assigned to one of two groups (Bulls or Bears). Your team is in the BEARS group and will follow the same schedule as the other Bears group members. Rules of the Competition Please ensure you and your students study the competition rules to prepare for the trading competition. Instructions for what stocks to trade, and how to log into our trading platform are also included. Consent to Record There will be a photographer taking pictures throughout the day and we would appreciate that all students under the age of 18 come to Trading Day with this form completed. We will be using Interactive Brokers as our trading platform for the competition. To prepare for the event, please have your students familiarize themselves with the platform. Please note all students and advisers must cease all trading and close out of Interactive Brokers on April 23, 2014. This will ensure accounts are cleared by Trading Day. 8:00am 8:30am: Check-in and Registration (Babbio Center, Atrium, 1st fl) Check-in and pick up your materials for the day. A continental breakfast will be served. 8:30am 9:00am: Opening Ceremonies (Babbio Center, Room 122) Lets the start the day off right and all gather to discuss what the day has in store for you. The Dean of the Stevens business program will welcome you and provide a review of the Trading Day program. 9:00am 9:45am: Campus Tour (starts and ends at Babbio Center) Check out our beautiful campus during this student-led tour. Enjoy the variety of facilities, while soaking in the 143-year history of the University. You will be in awe of our NYC views! 9:45am 10:30am: Business at Stevens Institute of Technology (Babbio, Room 104) Mix and mingle with business professors at Stevens in this interactive, hands-on session. Information booths will be set up to learn more about Stevens business majors, study abroad opportunities, business clubs, and summer programs. 10:30am 11:15am: Industry Networking (Babbio 4th Floor Lounge) Join business professionals on the 4th floor to talk about career opportunities in business. They will share their career experiences and help you think about your own career goals. 11:15am 1:00pm: Hanlon Lab Training and Trading Competition (Hanlon Lab, 4th Floor) The main event of Trading Day will be your opportunity to face off against other high schools in our exciting trading competition. Before your team gets started, there will be a 30 minute overview of the lab and competition instructions. 1:15pm 2:00pm: Lunch (Babbio Center, Atrium) Weve had an active day you must be hungry. Join Stevens business faculty and students in the Babbio Atrium for a complimentary lunch. 2:00pm 2:30pm: Closing Ceremonies (Babbio Center, Atrium) In this session, we will announce trading competition and award prizes. Im sure youve met some friends along the way, so this is also your time to say farewell and get contact information so you can stay in touch!

TRADING COMPETITION RULES Teams will compete using the Interactive Brokers WebTrader simulator platform and may practice before coming to the competition with the login credentials provided (see proceeding instructions for login). All teams start out with $1M USD, and have the ability to borrow up to $500K. When borrowing, this is referred to as buying on margin. Teams will trade stocks (also referred to as equities) only - no derivatives, options, etc. We have pre-selected the stocks teams may trade. These stocks represent the most actively traded across the three major exchanges. Their ticker symbols and company names are shown in the table on the proceeding page. Teams may not trade any stocks that are not on this list. No single trade, referred to as position, made during the competition can exceed 10% or $100,000. Each team must make at least 10 trades during the competition. Teams may only go long on an investment, which means your team will buy a stock with the hope that it will increase in value. Going short on an investment (purchasing stock with the anticipation that it will decrease in value) is not allowed. Teams will begin competing at the sound of the bell, and must close all positions at the second ringing of the bell. They will have approximately 75 minutes to compete. All teams are assigned to either the Bull or Bear group. The team from your group, Bull or Bear, who has the highest portfolio value wins the semifinals. The overall winner will be the team that shows the highest portfolio gains relative to the market performance.

Note that on Trading Day, there will be a tutorial in the lab prior to the start of the competition. The tutorial will review the trading competition rules and show students the basics of how to use pertinent lab technology. We will also discuss some basic trading concepts, including concepts that apply directly to the competition as well as concepts outside the scope of the competition.

PARKING FOR ADMISSIONS INTERVIEWS

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has two parking spots next to the Howe Center that are reserved for admissions interview visitors. Please park in one of these spaces. If the admissions spaces are taken when you arrive, temporarily park in front of the Howe Center and visit the Information Desk in the Howe Center lobby. The staff at the desk will direct you to a parking lot.

WALKING TOUR OF STEVENS

1. Edwin A. Stevens Building (EAS Building) Constructed in 1870 as the main building for the campus, this federally registered landmark was designed by Richard Upjohn, whose work includes the Trinity Church in Manhattan. In celebration of Stevens' 125th anniversary, a 40-foot spire was placed atop the building and dedicated to Dr. Leo C. Cunniff '50. 6. Babbio Center Opened in 2006, the Lawrence T. Babbio, Jr. Center for Technology Management, a six-story, 95,000 square foot structure, is the home of the Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management and the School of Systems and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology. 13. The Gatehouse The grand entrance for the Stevens Castle, built circa 1835. It is the only part of the original Stevens estate that is still standing. 17. Stevens Mobile Located in the lobby of the Samuel C. Williams Library, the mobile was created by Stevens alumnus and world renowned artist, Alexander Calder '19. The Torch Bearers Presented to the university in April 1964, it was a gift to Stevens by the noted American sculptor, Anna Hyatt Huntington. Cast in aluminum, the statue stands 16 feet high. Castle Point Lookout Castle Point is the highest elevation in Hoboken at 100 feet. The green-veined, serpentine rock overlook was mentioned in the navigators log of Henry Hudson's ship Half Moon as it journeyed up the river in 1609 . Cannon A pavilion was erected in Elysian Fields by Col. John Stevens in 1830 and later was turned into a hotel which faced the Hudson River. In 1888 when the hotel was torn down by the Stevens family, a cannon was excavated whose legend dated back to the Revolutionary War. It was believed to have been brought over from France during the Revolution. It was placed on Castle Point where the Stevens Family resided, and is still there as a protector of the Point.

At the first traffic light after the tollbooth, turn left on Jersey Avenue. Follow the road as it curves under the train trestle. The road becomes Newark Avenue, and then Observer Highway. When you reach the light at Washington Street, turn left. Proceed up Washington and turn right onto Ninth Street. Go two blocks, and enter the gate to the Stevens campus. Unless otherwise announced, parking on campus is generally not available for events. If you decide to park on the street in Hoboken, pay very close attention to the signs. Parking in resident spaces, or on streets scheduled for cleaning, or parking for over the four-hour visitor limit will result in your car being booted or towed. The city of Hoboken has municipal parking garages that charge hourly rates. Each of these parking options is approximately a 10-minute walk from the Stevens campus.

Follow signs to Hoboken (the sign will read Last Exit Before Tunnel, Hoboken/Weehawken). Turn right at the second traffic light onto Park Avenue. Follow the road over viaduct and turn left onto 14th Street. Turn right onto Washington Street. Turn left onto Ninth Street, proceed two blocks, and enter the gate to the Stevens campus. From each garage, go to Hudson Street and turn right. At Fourth Street, you will come to a park. Cut diagonally through the park, and you will come out in front of the Edwin A. Upon exiting the tunnel, follow the signs to Hoboken. From the North tube of the tunnel, bear to the extreme right and go through the underpass marked Hoboken. From the South tube, bear to exit ramp on left. This places you Southbound on Willow Avenue. Continue over the land bridge into Hoboken and make a left at 14th Street, then turn right onto Washington Street. Make a left on Ninth Street and enter the gate to the Stevens campus. ONCE ON CAMPUS

After entering campus, proceed through the gates to the traffic circle in front of the Wesley J. Howe Center (13- story building). Temporary parking is permitted on the circle while obtaining a parking permit at the lobby desk.
