Founded by the couple Faye Wang and LiYaPeng and under

the support of the Chinese Red Cross Foundation, SmileAngel
Foundation provides free of charge surgeries for CLP patients
in economically disadvantaged families; SmileAngel provides
free of charge surgical services during the patients stay in
the hospital, but doesnt provide transportation and living
expenses. Due to the lack of travelling expense, many families
gave up their chance to receive the surgery. To resolve the
problem, SmileAngel formed a medical team to carry out
surgeries in rural areas.

On the 4th of august, 2007, SmileAngel Foundation set up the

medical team. Every year, the LiYaPeng alongside the medical
team carries out the Angels Journey Spread the Love
medical assistance service to provide medical assistance for
CLP patients living in rural areas. Members of the medical
team are recruited from all over China after experts go
through thorough inspection of their medical qualification
and abilities. Medical members who attended Angels
Journey Spread the Love event chose to help without any
reward and with their personal vacation time.

Since 2007, the Angels Journey Spread the Love event

was held in numerous places including Sichuan, XiJiang, Tibet,
Inner Mongolia, HeiLongJiang, HaiNan and GuiZhou, and
provided surgeries for more than 300 CLP patients living in
rural areas.

On the 4th of August, 2007, SmileAngel Foundation

established the medical team in Beijing. During the inaugural
meeting, LiYaPeng and LiuJiaLing awarded certificates and
gave out medical uniforms to the first 11 members of the
medical team.

On the 6th of August, 2007, members of the SmileAngel

medical team, MaXianBing director and Dr ZhuXiaoFeng,
provided surgeries for 3 WeiEr minorities in XinJiang Uyrgur
Peoples Hospital. On the 7th of August, 2007, the vice
president of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region announced
the commencement of SmileAngels Angels Journey
medical assistance event.

In the morning of the 14th of October, 2007, two member of

the

SmileAngel

medical

team,

Dr

ChenRenJi

and

Dr

FangJuFeng, carried out surgeries for 2 CLP patients in

Chengdu. In the afternoon, the medical team announced the

commencement of Angels Journey Spread the Love
medical assistance event in ChengDu Childrens Hospital.
During

the

event,

SiChuan

joined

SmileAngels medical assistance team. SmileAngel has

completed 100 surgeries for CLP patients in SiChuan. LiYaPeng
and WangRuPeng secretary-General visited the patients.

On the 19th of May, 2008, 5 members of Chinese Red Cross

Foundation SmileAngel Foundation travels from Beijing to
MianYang to attend 512 disaster area children medical
treatment At 14:10 21th of May, 2008, the first group of
children, consisting of 3 amputee children, 2 children from
BeiChuan kindergarten and 2 students form BeiChuan middle
school, from the disaster area arrived in Beijing and went to
the SmileAngel Foundation Hospital.
