This article basically talks about how words have turned into "monsters," such as gay, queer, and homosexual. This can be taken very offensively if said around the wrong person. The fact that if one is homosexual they can be taken as some kind of monster. The article then goes on talking about different examples and how people can be hurt by these. 2. I believe that yes, these words may have taken a toll for the worst, but the fact is many children do not know the true meaning of these words, and how hurtful they can be. All they know is that they are mean to call somebody. Yes, this is a issue in todays society, but their are many ways to try to help fix the problem.
