Objectives

To examine the existing organizational setup and administrative structure of Prison Administration in India; To grasp the reasons for the attitude of the society and administration towards the prisoners and its impact on the rights of prisoners and their reformation; To review the rights and duties of prisoners within the prison wall; and the co-relation between them; To find out the role of the Non-Governmental Agencies; and Finally, to recommend measures for prison reform.
