Graduates dream is now reality

A graduates innovative idea to improve cycle safety has become a reality, thanks to online donations and financial backing. Emily Brookes invention, the Blaze Laserlight is now on sale after she raised the funds to launch it by using Kickstarter, a start-up website. The project raised the funds needed in just five days and later $500,000 of investment from Index Ventures and the Branson family.

The Laserlight works by projecting a laser image on to the road ahead of the cyclist. Its thought that this could save lives by improving their visibility to motorists. The Product Design graduate was recently featured in the Evening Standard as one to watch on Londons start up scene.
