Student Nomination:

AIG Assessment/Data Collection

Assessment/Data Review

Placement

Student nominations can come from parents, teachers, AIG facilitators, counselors, peers and students themselves

Portfolios are created for nominated students by the AIG facilitator. Multiple factors are considered when assessing nominated students and multiple assessment tools are administered. Among these include student behavior, interest, and characteristics assessments as well as achievement tests, aptitude tests and a collection of student performances on standardized tests

Once data is collected, it is reviewed by a committee of professionals to determine the appropriate placement for the student if he/she meets the district's standards for identification

Once reviewed, if student meets district's standards ofAIG identifcation, the student will be given a Differentiated Education Plan (DEP) to receive defferentiated instruction methods in order to meet the student's needs in the classroom.
