Overcoming your stereotype*

Obama, the president of the United States, has decided to ride the bus. He is putting himself in the position that many of lower class people are faced with, typically minorities. Obama is symbolizing how his race does not define him. He symbolizes his success was not limited by what he was expected to be or how he was expected to live. He represents that stereotypes, due to race, cannot hold you back from achieving your goals. He is showing the audience where we are in todays society and how far we have come in racial equality.
