being limited to reading, are ones abilities or skills related to a specific subject. I happen to be very artistically or visually literate. This is a skill I have worked at my entire life and one that I wish to carry on with in the future and develop constantly. So far, I have developed a timeline for my snapshots, going back to age six up to the present day. I have established the basis for several stories, probably closer to seven than three. These snapshots will include my early years, when I was taught by my grandfather to draw, his backstory, the summer I spent at the Memphis College of Art and Design, and the classes I have taken related to Art and Art History since. One of my biggest sponsors is my grandfather; he started it all. I remember being no older than six years old and him giving me sheets of tracing paper to draw over the cartoons in my coloring books. He would draw simple flip books for me of simple subjects like a cat eating out of its food bowl. To this day, he has been my biggest supporter and when I send him photos of my most recent work, he always gives me his best criticism and his highest praise. My most recent sponsor has been my Art History professor, whose class I took last semester. He was the first person Id heard use the term visual literacy. This w as a theme we held throughout the course while we examined the various properties of art and architecture that had been created over a span of several centuries.
