Gide for Assessments Staff creates a learning environment that supports all developmental levels of children that are being assessed. Staff is consistent with the routine and learning environment to allow for optimal observations of children. Staff uses all assessments tools on a continual bases to provide an optimal learning environment that will support all developmental stages. Parents can help with their childs progress by bringing in observational notes and having conversations with childs teacher in regards to what they are seeing at home.
How to use the school readiness assessment data sheet Pull children to your individual learning area Have a data sheet for each child Point to the different color squares (have child identify the color) use a check mark to identify the colors that the child knows. Point to the letter and numbers on the identification sheets (have child identify) use a check mark to identify what the child knows. Have each child write their name on the back of one of the sheets Have child do a draw person on the pack of one of the sheets Conduct this assessment with in the first six weeks of enrollment Conduct this assessment at the end of the school year Make a copy of the assessment sheets for each child and forward this information to each childs kindergarten teacher.
