We have to control it or else it will be life-threatening.

A person with type 1 diabetes produces little or no insulin. Without insulin, glucose levels in the bold remain high.

Type 1 diabetes usually first appears in children. They need to eat the proper amount of carbohydrates and other nutrients on a regular schedule.

Or noninsulin-dependent diabetes, occurs mostly in people over the age of 30. People with type 2 diabetes produce sufficient insulin, their body ells do not respond normally in insulin.

Risk factors for type 2 diabetes include a family history of diabetes, being overweight, and lack of physical activity. People can prevent type 2 diabetes by maintaining a desirable body weight by exercising regularly.
