I enjoyed learning all of the random facts that the author had listed throughout the article. I thought it was cool how he set up his different paragraphs to be short sentences then be really long carry on sentences. With the paragraph structure is made the flow of the article more interesting to the reader. With the run on sentences talking about all of the same topic but explaining it in different ways. Also it was an exploratory essay, and his comparisons to things were very understandable and well described. These comparisons made you picture what he was describing while you read it and made the comparison more interesting and realistic. This entry shows reflection on the article of the hummingbirds. It reflects on the specific purposely structured paragraphs the author wrote. It also points out when the author uses his comparisons that he did them well for readers of all ages to understand and be able to provide a mental image.
