To whom it may concern, Please accept this letter as an expression of my interest in the current job opening. I am confident that my personal experiences, skills, and applications of leadership studies and mentoring strategies have prepared me for this great opportunity at your job site. I am currently a junior at the University of Rhode Island (URI). I am a double major in Political Science and Communication studies with a minor in Leadership studies. As a Leadership Studies minor, I have had the opportunity to hold an internship in the Center for Student Leadership Development. I served as the teachers assistant for an undergraduate mentoring course, HDF 291: Rose Butler Browne Women of Color Peer Mentoring Course. My record of school work, employment, and volunteer activities demonstrates attributes that would make me a valuable intern. As a teacher assistant, I have gained the skills of listening to others, being an advocate for others, and mentoring others. After completing my internship, Ive gained the ability to develop curriculum, create structured lesson plans, work with others on a team, and facilitate conversations. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my experiences and skills match your position specifications. My resume will expand on my skills, experiences, and achievements. If given the opportunity to join your team, you will have an individual that is able to learn and motivate team members. Thank you for your time and consideration. Warm regards, Isaura
