Project Directions

1. Project Grouping This in an individual project assignment 2. Project Topic Topics can be derived from the following list (or of your own choosing) and must be related to the 1920s. The topic can be broad ranged or specific. Topic choice must be approved by the teacher PRIOR to beginning the project, and no later than 1 week before the due date. Topic Ideas: Politics Harlem Renaissance Jazz KKK Prohibition Film Radio Technology *Topics discussed in class will be allowed, but must be expanded beyond what was taught 3. Project Product Students must create a slideshow ( PowerPoint, Prezi, etc) that will be presented to the class. 4. Project Directions You may be as creative as you wish with your slideshow presentation, but it must include the following: a.) At least 7 slides b.) Free of grammatical and spelling errors c.) At least 3 images d.) Images must be relevant to the presentation and reflect information on the slides (thinking light bulbs and other such images may be included, but will NOT count toward the 3 images needed) e.) At least 4 sources f.) Sources are scholarly; contains information on writers background. Source is not Wikipedia or similar. g.) Slides must be well organized (not jumping back and forth on topics) 5. Project Publication Students are to use a computer based application to create their slideshow. (Please see me if this is not possible BEFORE you submit your topic for approval 6. Project Assessment See attached Rubric for a scoring guide. Presentation will count for the same points as a test. (60 pts)
