Reflection: My student teaching was absolutely amazing.

I had several things I needed to work on at the beginning but I was so lucky to have not only a patient supervisor but also a very patient cooperating teacher. Mr. Petersen had many important suggestions that make me a better teacher. He was very encouraging and very supportive. I felt respected by him and like I was his e ual. I wish that !evada "tate #ollege had more student teaching type classes. I feel like I could have benefit much more from a lot more e$periences where I was the teacher. I learned how challenging being a teacher is. It is very rewarding but it is also a lot of work. %s a substitute this was not something I really got to e$perience. %s far as my view about teaching& I feel that it might be something I may not be able to handle. I am an amazing substitute but not as good of a teacher as I thought I could be. I guess some lessons I learned are to walk around the room more& monitor my spoken word better& and to make the ob'ectives and the assessments measureable. (hese are all lessons I still need work on but I feel like I have made progress during my student teaching. %ll in all& I feel like I had a very enlightening time. I feel that this is something I can look back on and think fondly of.
