SEMESTER 2 2013/14 ABD 7113 PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING AND EVALUATION INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT (40%)

OBJECTIVE: The assignment is intended to provide you the opportunity to demonstrate: Your understanding of assessment in psychology and counseling. Your ability to discern the use of psychological tests as assessment in counseling.

Assignment: Assessment in counseling involves the use of standardized psychological tests. Review a psychological test/instrument/inventory of your choice, state your stand on your choice and follow-up with your points of justification.

The essay will be graded based on the following evidence: 1. Your extensive reading and review of related literature on psychological assessment and testing.. 2. Your knowledge of psychological tests as assessment in counseling. 3. Your higher order thinking skills 4. Your meticulous effort : error free writing 5. Your adherence to the format of academic writing 6. Your originality, creativity and integrity.

Assignment Format: a. Use double space and 12-point Times New Roman font. b. This assignment should contain about 1500-3000 words (at 5-10 pages). c. Provide references. References should use the American Psychological Association (APA) format. d. References should include those from year 2005 and onwards. Notes: Assignments should be submitted on 24 April 2014. You are to submit a softcopy of your assignment online to hasleesharil@yahoo.com and a hardcopy via the class representative. Plagiarism is not acceptable.
