These surveys were designed to aid the group in understanding the needs of a typical customer by bringing the ideas of the focus group to a larger body of potential consumers. The first survey asked the responder to rank cost, aesthetics, ease of use, functionality, and accuracy when considering an app system for organizing grocery lists and kitchens. The responses to this survey have been recorded and organized into an AHP chart in Table 3. The second survey asked the responder to compare Scanner Functions, App Interface, Convenience, Appearance, and Cost in terms of the sub categories listed in the Hierarchical Customer Needs List (Table 2) by ranking them on a scale from 1 to 10. The third survey asked the responder to rank each of the sub categories within their respective overarching categories (Scanner Functions, App Interface, Convenience, Appearance, and Cost). This data is combined into a Weighted Hierarchical List of Customer Needs (Table 4) and a representation of the importance of each of the overarching categories by finding the average ranking given by the 37 responders.
