Creating an environment that is enriching and inviting helps in the development of the Child.

In the case of the environment the classroom needs to warm and welcoming to not only the students but parents/ guardians as well. As a future educator I have the responsibility to scaffold a child in their development of their Language, Social, Emotional, and Physical areas of development. Education is the process of improving ones mind and character in hopes that they can use the tools that they have learned to ensure a better foundation for the years to come. As an Early Education teacher I can work with the wide range on birth to third grade. This gives me the chance as an educator to develop in a childcare setting or an elementary school. In order to achieve in a childs development in these settings I feel that families/ guardians need to be involved, as an educator I want to make it apparent that I am available and involved so that parents feel free to contact or in the case I need to contact them. They can also be involved though volunteering within the classroom or on field trips when needed. With having a strong bond of communication we can overcome barriers that may arise over time, thus making the children more successful in years to come. As mentioned early I want to scaffold a childs development in my classroom settings. This can be done by selecting developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans. In some cases there may be a simplification or extension to ensure that if a select child may need the one to one interaction or a small select group rather than one large group or class. This helps ensure the connections and bonds that as a teacher I want to create with students so that I can enhance their learning and development through mind and character. Additionally, in my classroom I want to recognize the diversity that educators encounter when working with students and their families. I want to create the appreciation for and understanding of circumstances, culture, and practices for each individual. This will also help to create an environment that is welcoming as children can feel comfortable for who they are not for what they are. As a future educator I know the importance of individuality and I want to be able to view child as an individual not just a child in my class.
