This is because in everything we do, we bring to it our own life experiences, skills, values, likes and dislikes. Look at the following illustration and consider the corresponding question. What is it? Is it half full or half empty? How does perception change the way we view the worth of something? How would a person dying of thirst in a desert view a glass of water compared to a person standing at a kitchen tap? What circumstances shape or alter our perception of things?
